In the early stages of the Brighton Youth Centre redevelopment, a series of illustrations were commissioned to communicate the ambition of the project and support fundraising. The vision set out a vibrant hub for young people in the city, combining a skatepark, dance studios, theatre spaces, basketball courts, a café and social areas.

The illustrations formed a central part of leaflets, presentations and wider community engagement, providing a clear and accessible way to share the project’s potential years before design work began. They captured the energy, inclusivity and optimism at the heart of the scheme, helping to inspire confidence and attract the support needed to take the project forward.

Now nearing completion, the centre will offer a dynamic social and cultural space for the next generation, with the illustrations representing an early stage in the project’s development and public story.
